Privacy policy

Applies to the website centralchat.de and the beta list. The application at app.centralchat.de has its own data processing agreement for its users. Further details about the controller will follow shortly. This is a courtesy translation; the German version is binding. Template work, not legal advice.

1. Controller

2. What this website does and does not do

• The website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
• There are no analytics or tracking services, no advertising pixels and no embedded third-party content (no videos, maps, fonts or scripts from external servers). Font files are served from our own server.
• When you submit the beta list form, your entries are transmitted to the server api.huener.net, which is also operated by Huener.net (section 4).

3. Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany (Nuremberg data center). When a page is requested, the web server automatically processes: the requested address, date and time, amount of data transferred, status code, browser type and version, operating system, referring page and the IP address of the requesting device. This processing serves to provide and secure the website on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and functioning operation). The log files also serve to defend against attacks; addresses from which attacks originate may be blocked temporarily. Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hetzner.

4. Beta list (form)

When you join the beta list, we process your first name, company, email address, the channels you ticked and your optional message. The sole purpose is to invite you to the CentralChat beta and to set up your access with you. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures at your request). The data is stored on the server named above and reported by email to the controller's contact address. To protect against automated entries we store, for a limited time, a salted hash of your IP address, not the address itself, and limit the number of entries per address. There is no captcha and no transfer to third parties. We delete your entry as soon as the purpose ceases: after your invitation and transfer into your workspace, after your decline, or at the latest twelve months after sign-up if no invitation has taken place. You can request deletion by email at any time.

5. Recipients

Within Huener.net only the people who run the beta have access. The processor is the hosting provider Hetzner (section 3). The data is stored on the server in Germany. Details on any transfer to third countries will follow with the further details about the controller.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). Please send requests to the contact address in section 1.

7. The CentralChat application

This policy applies to the website. For the application at app.centralchat.de, Huener.net processes personal data on behalf of the respective customer (workspace operator) on the basis of a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR. Which AI providers are used is determined by the customer through their own account; details are governed by the agreement with the customer.

8. Status

This privacy policy is dated 21 October 2026. We update it when the website or the legal situation changes.
